RYA Training Course at Sussex Yacht Club - October 2010
The Club announces their second RYA Level 1 dinghy course
for the training weekend of 15th - 17th October 2010 and possibly Level 2
on 14th November 2010

Sussex Yacht Club - Cowes Week 2010
The deaf crew will be competing for the fifth year in the whole Sonar
series race class in Cowes Week from Saturday 31st July to Saturday 7th August.
They are retaining their home base at Island Sailing Club this year, where they access
their Sonar at a swinging mooring from the club's pontoon via the launch service.
Everybody are very welcome to come as speculators during the regatta, please contact Andrew on

Queen Mary Sailing Club - Laser Sailing - Season 2010
This Laser Strados session event will start at 10am
and finish around 4pm on a Saturday or Sunday from April to October 2010. It is planned to
hire up to three Laser Stratos or Bahia from Queen Mary Sailing Club for up to six hours if demanded
to meet an expanding crew.

Deaf Sailing UK Exhibition at City Lit, London - 10th April 2010
The Club announces it will be hosting its exhibition for the first time at Open Deaf Day event, which is
biggest deaf exhibition in the country on Saturday 10th April 2010
Please visit our stall at Room 309 at City Lit, Keeley Street, London WC2B 4BA, which is within
the vicinity of the Covent Garden area of central London. The entry is open to everybody.

RYA organises the 2010 Dinghy Show at London's Alexandra Palace
during Saturday 6th - Sunday 7th March 2010.
It gives you a very wide insight of how some sailing organisations

DSUK Fundraising Event at Sussex Yacht Club - November 2009
Deaf Sailing UK announces a fundraising dinner event for the competitive price of £25 for
a three course meal at Sussex Yacht Club on 28th November 2009 to raise funds for
the future DSUK team entry for regional and national sailing events. It will include for
the first time a professional belly dancing performance, and the Round British Isles
presentation by Matthew Jackson, who was one of first double handed deaf yachtmasters to
sail round the British Isles in 1981.
This follows our successful race in Cowes Week for the fourth consecutive year. It is
hoped that a new generation of sailors will be produced in 2009/2010.
