Sussex Yacht Club and Deaf Sailing UK visit the Datchet Open Sailing Club on Saturday 18th March 2006.
There, the SYC instructors, a qualified BSL communicator and five deaf assistant instructors are practicing there as part of Assistant Instructor course in the run up to the first RYA Level 1 course in April 2006

Documentation to Bring:- Copies and originals of all the following certificates. · Valid RYA First Aid certificate · G4 or G11 Log book Recommended Reading:-· G14 Dinghy Coaching Handbook & Logbook · G4 RYA National Sailing Scheme· G11 Youth Sailing Scheme Sailing Clothing:- Please bring all your own personnel sailing kit. A dry suit is highly recommended. A drysuit or wetsuit is a min requirement at Datchet at this time of year.Food & Drink:- Tea & Coffee will be supplied and available during the day at Southwick. Any other food you would like you will need to bring with you purchase locally. Southwick has a microwave and a fridge you will be able to use. Food can be purchased from Southwick Square a 10-min walk. I would recommend a flask and packed lunch for Datchet as I am not sure what facilities are available at this time of year.
